Veterinary Technician/Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist
An ideal candidate would have excellent communication skills, compassion and a positive attitude.
Technical abilities must include the following: proper animal restraint; venipuncture, intravenous catheter placement; anesthesia monitoring; administration of medications (PO, SC, IM, IV); knowledge of drug calculations; ability to properly position and capture radiographs; proper sterilization methods; familiarity with in-house CBC/Chemistry.
Duties also include (but are not limited to) filling prescriptions, maintaining drug logs, entering medical records, cleaning and maintaining equipment, assisting doctors in exams and procedures, checking in and discharging patients, and calling back clients, answer multi-line phones, greet clients, schedule appointments, process and collect payment, keep exam rooms, treatment area and lobby tidy, call clients, and file charts and information.
Work experience in emergency critical care facility a plus.

Qualified candidates must have a doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree and two years experience as a Veterinarian. The candidate must be licensed by the State of California. The candidate must be willing to work on weekday evenings, weekends and all major holidays depending on the employee work schedules. Must be competent to handle all sorts of emergencies.
